The best keyboard cases for iPad mini 5

Getting an iPad mini 5 and want to get a lot of work done with it? Then you need to grab yourself a keyboard case! These nifty inventions combine a keyboard and a protective case into one convenient product. Pretty nifty, right? Here are some good options to consider if you're looking for a protective case with an integrated keyboard.

Please note that some cases were originally designed for the iPad mini 4, which has the same exact dimensions as the iPad mini 5, but the microphone placement on the back is different.

Get a little snug and cozy

Snugg iPad mini Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard Case Cover

Staff Favorite

This keyboard case cover from Snugg is officially compatible with both the iPad mini 4 and iPad mini 5. The Snugg is great because it gives you flexibility with the viewing angle with 360-degree multi-angle adjustments. You also get full access to all buttons and ports, and the case will keep your iPad mini safe from scratches and bumps.

A trusted, high-quality name

Logitech Focus Keyboard Folio

The Logitech Focus Keyboard Folio is a lightweight case that completely protects your iPad mini from everyday bumps and scuffs. There are openings for all of the buttons and ports, and the keyboard has a nice groove to fit the side of the iPad mini into for a proper viewing angle as you type. There's even a row of shortcut buttons for iOS, making your life easier.

Zig Zagg

ZAGG Folio Case

ZAGG has been making keyboard folios for a while, and the original Folio Case is still one of our favorites. This heavy duty case will protect your iPad mini from everyday bumps and drops, and the keyboard's keys are indented downward, so the keys don't press up on the glass screen when it's closed. This model says it will fit iPad mini 4 only, but since the iPad mini 4 and 5 have the same dimensions, this should fit the new model. Hopefully ZAGG announces the official iPad mini 5 version soon, but for now this may be good enough if you want a cheap deal.

Ultimate convenience

Lenrich Ultra Slim 360 Degree Rotatable Wireless Keyboard Cover

This keyboard cover from Lenrich was originally designed for the iPad mini 4 but should fit the iPad mini 5 as well. The iPad mini gets nestled into the case, and that part connects to the keyboard with a swiveling stand that allows for full 360-degree rotation for the perfect angle. You can also flip the keyboard itself a full 180 degrees, so it's tucked away behind the tablet itself. This keyboard case offers a lot of versatility, so it works with you.

Colorful and stylish leather

Fintie Keyboard Case

This keyboard folio cover from Fintie is designed for the new iPad mini 5. The leather-like cover protects your iPad mini from everyday wear and tear, and it comes with a standalone keyboard that you can slide into the folio or even use it separately outside of the case since it's detachable. There's also a slot to keep your Apple Pencil or other stylus or pen.

There are scarce offerings right now in terms of keyboard cases for the iPad mini 5, but so far these are the ones we managed to round up. Out of these options, we're going to go with the Snugg iPad mini Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard Case Cover because that full 360 degree rotatable keyboard is too good to pass up! Plus it's one of the few options that are actually designated for the iPad mini 5. Remember, the other options were originally made for the iPad mini 4, but since the mini 4 and 5 have the same physical dimensions, they should fit, although with some caveats.
