Harry Potter: Wizards Unite to support Adventure Sync
We can finally tie our wizarding steps to our health and fitness apps.
What you need to know
- Harry Potter: Wizards Unite will soon gain support for Adventure Sync.
- Adventure Sync lets you connect your game to your phone's step tracker so you don't have to keep it open while you walk.
- It will likely be available for both Google Fit and Apple's Health app.
Since the launch of Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, fans (and players of Pokémon GO who know of its existence) have been wishing for Adventure Sync. Today, YouTuber The Sylph shared a screenshot of an email they say they received from Niantic that Adventure Sync is coming soon.
Just got an email teasing Wizards Unite’s new feature, Adventure Sync! (This would’ve been an awesome feature to have during the Global Challenge) pic.twitter.com/zevtiECEHn
— The Sylph (@TheSylphYT) August 31, 2019
If this email is real (we have not received the same teaser from Niantic), we will soon be able to connect Wizards Unite to our phone's step counter so we don't have to keep the game open while we're walking around.
Adventure Sync in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is supported in Google Fit on Android and the Health app on iPhone. Your fitness tracker always keeps track of your steps, which means you'll be able to unlock those Portmanteaus a lot faster.
Hopefully, we'll see Adventure Sync in Wizards Unite soon!

The Outer Worlds welcomes you to Halcyon in an upbeat new trailer
Ferocious wildlife, violent border towns, limited benefits...why WOULDN'T you want to sign up on a trip to The Outer Worlds?
What you need to know
- There's a new trailer for Obsidian Entertainment's upcoming role-playing game (RPG) The Outer Worlds.
- In the trailer, a company representative for Halcyon espouses the many benefits of coming to work in one of the outer space colonies.
- Amusingly enough, those many, many benefits have many, many possible restrictions.
- The Outer Worlds will release on Nintendo Switch some time after the other platforms, which are scheduled to release on October 25.
There's a new tongue-in-cheek trailer for The Outer Worlds, the upcoming science-fiction RPG being developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Private Division. From the variety of wildlife, to the harsh conditions, to the overbearing corporate presence, there's a ton of challenges for aspiring spacers to overcome. So come work for Halcyon, because if you're starting at the bottom, the only way to go is up, right? You can watch the new Come to Halcyon trailer for The Outer Worlds below:
The Outer Worlds definitely seems to be going for the same zany vibes as past Obsidian titles like Fallout: New Vegas. If you'd like to learn more about the game, one of our editors, Carli Velocci, got the chance to try a hands-on preview. You can check out her thoughts right here.
The Outer Worlds is currently set to release on October 25 for most platforms however, the Nintendo Switch version will be released at a later date.
