Apple's website suggests new low-cost iPhone will be called the 'iPhone SE'

Apple may have announced the name of the new iPhone through a Belkin accessory.

Earlier today, a report claimed that Apple's new low-cost iPhone could see a release as early as tomorrow. It also suggested that the new iPhone would not be called the iPhone 9 or the iPhone SE 2, but simply as the iPhone SE.

That report, at least when it comes to the name of the phone, seems to be on track according to Apple's own website.

A screen protector from Belkin is currently for sale on the Apple Store website. While the product in itself isn't anything new, the models of the iPhone it is made for is definitely new. The Belkin InvisiGlass Ultra Screen Protector is currently being marketed as an accessory compatible with not only the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 8, but with the iPhone SE as well.

The current model of the iPhone SE has a significantly smaller screen than that of the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 8, so the logical conclusion is that this screen protector is compatible with an iPhone SE that has not been released yet.

Interestingly enough, when you look at the details of the accessory, only the iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 are listed. Mention of the iPhone SE is only found in the product's title. While this is not an official confirmation of the new name, the presence of this on Apple's own website is a major hint in that direction.

Apple is expected to launch the new iPhone within the coming weeks, with dates ranging from tomorrow to April 15th. Regardless of how many rumors or leaks continue to come out, we won't have to wait long to find out what ends up being true.

• A new report from 9to5Mac says that the iPhone 9 could be debuted tomorrow.
• The outlet says the phone will be called the iPhone SE.
• It will come in multiple colors and storage configurations.

While almost all information has indicated that Apple will most likely announce the new, low-cost iPhone in a couple of weeks, a new report claims that the phone could see a release as soon as tomorrow.

Reported by 9to5Mac, a "highly trusted reader" has given the outlet a tip saying that the launch of the new iPhone is imminent and could see a release on Friday.

The publication goes further to say that the information they have learned indicates that Apple will not refer to the new phone as the iPhone 9 or the iPhone SE 2, but simply the iPhone SE. It will, however, show that the iPhone SE is the 2020 model of the device.

The new iPhone SE will reportedly come in Black, White, and PRODUCT (Red) colors and be available in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage configurations.

Apple will also release a number of cases for the new iPhone, including a Black and White silicone case. Leather cases will also be available in Black, Red, and Midnight Blue colors.

The new low-cost iPhone is expected to have a starting price of $399 and feature the latest A-series chip in Apple's flagship smartphones, Touch ID, and look similar to the iPhone 8.

None of the report has been confirmed by another source, so we will have to wait until tomorrow to see if there is any truth to the idea that the new iPhone will make its debut tomorrow. That said, at least one accessory for the product, a Belkin screen protector, has already landed on Apple's website.

In an effort to help those who are food insecure in the United States during the coronavirus pandemic, Apple has joined forces with Laurene Powell Jobs, Leonardo Dicaprio, Oprah Winfrey, and Jeff Bezos to launch America's Food Fund.

"The goal of America's Food Fund — launched by Leonardo DiCaprio, Laurene Powell Jobs and Apple, along with the Ford Foundation — is to help ensure that all people have reliable access to food."

Laurene Powell Jobs says that job losses and schools being closed are leading to many families wondering how to put food on the table and that America's Food Fund will help solve that problem.

"We are in the midst of a national emergency, and it is vital we prioritize the most urgent needs. With millions losing their jobs and programs like school lunches in jeopardy, making sure Americans aren't going hungry is of the utmost urgency. America's Food Fund supports excellent programs that are prepared to aid in the crisis now."

America's Food Fund will fundraise money to be donated to two nonprofit organizations - the World Central Kitchen and Feeding America. Tim Cook says that both organizations do "heroic work", and that it is important that we support one another during a time when people are struggling to have the essentials.

"No one can be well if they're not well fed, and we can only overcome this crisis if we make sure that every person has the essentials that they need to care for themselves, their families and the vulnerable people in their lives. World Central Kitchen and Feeding America do heroic work, and if there is any lesson in this time that we must spend apart, it's that we are stronger and more resilient when we support one another."

Apple isn’t trying too hard to hide the existence of AirTags. In April of 2020, Apple uploaded a support video to its YouTube account showing how to erase an iPhone. At roughly the 1:43 mark in the video—which has since been pulled—Apple shows how to turn off Find My iPhone, and in doing so revealed a toggle for turning off the feature “Enable Offline Finding.” In the feature’s own words, “Offline finding enables this device and AirTags to be found when not connected to Wi-Fi or cellular.” The video was originally spotted by Appleosophy.

Automated tool can find 100 Zoom meeting IDs per hour

An automated tool developed by security researchers is able to find around 100 Zoom meeting IDs in an hour and information for nearly 2,400 Zoom meetings in a single day of scans, according to a new report from security expert Brian Krebs.

Security professional Trent Lo and members of SecKC, a Kansas City-based security meetup group, made a program called zWarDial that can automatically guess Zoom meeting IDs, which are nine to 11 digits long, and glean information about those meetings, according to the report.

In addition to being able to find around 100 meetings per hour, one instance of zWarDial can successfully determine a legitimate meeting ID 14 percent of the time, Lo told Krebs on Security. And as part of the nearly 2,400...
