Grim Fandango: Remastered will bring the 1998 classic back to life on January 27th

The 1998 LucasArts classic Grim Fandango is being remade for the 21st century. The remake of the wonderfully quirky game was first announced at E3 this year, and at the first-ever PlayStation Experience event today, developer Double Fine announced that it will launch on January 27th, 2015. The game's been updated with new high-res textures and lighting, but all that really matters — the story — has been untouched. Check out the remastered version above. The game will launch on PlayStation 4 and PS Vita, as well as PC, Mac, and Linux.

No-One Needs A Solar-Powered Jacket

By this stage, I think we've all more or less accepted that 'wearable technology' means something like a watch or glasses or ring or earpiece that measures your heartbeat and talks to your phone. But this memo unfortunately hasn't reached certain fashion brands.

Oh hey look! Yet another retail store has had its payment terminals hacked and customer data stolen. This time it's Bebe, the women's clothing store, with Krebs on Security confirming that customers' credit card details were for sale online. New trailer goes behind the scenes of the upcoming SimCity BuildIt for iPhone and iPad

A new trailer takes us behind the scenes at the making of SimCity BuildIt, the upcoming urban planning simulation game that's due for release before the end of 2014 for the iPhone and iPad, among other platforms.

The trailer, narrated by EA Mobile's leader Jason Willig, shows off a bunch of footage from SimCity BuildIt, which really does look impressive with full 3D views of the cities. In addition to the familiar SimCity features like road and building construction, utility maintenance and disasters, SimCity BuildIt will introduce the idea of crafting goods and resources that can be used by the player or traded with others.

It sounds like the game will be a free-to-play title when it launches, but hopefully the "freemium" business model won't be a requirement for playing and enjoying most of SimCity BuildIt.
