This Super-Efficient Lightbulb Uses Tesla Tech for an Incandescent Glow

Despite their inefficiency, old-school incandescent lightbulbs sure did put out a pleasant, natural-looking light. The folks at Finally Light Bulb missed that light, so they brought it back with an efficient, affordable bulb using technology Nikola Tesla once patented. The team visited Gizmodo's NYC office to show us the light.

Revolution 60 is delightful kickassary you need to download right now!

Revolution 60 is an Epic Unreal Engine-based game — think Infinity Blade — that puts you in the middle of a cinematic story and lets you kick the absolute ass out of it while ultimately deciding your own destiny. Crafted by Giant SpaceKat, you're put in control of Holiday, an assassin with all shades of attitude, and told to regain control of an orbiting super-weapon. The modeling is gorgeous, the animation delightful, the music engrossing, and the voice acting outstanding. It's obvious every polygon, frame, note, and word had care and concern poured into it. So how's the gameplay?

The control scheme, optimized for multitouch, is something different from traditional action games, but the tutorial takes you through it so you can pick it up quickly. Some of the gestures fit the action while others are more abstract. Some are simple while others are skill and coordination testing. I'm curious to see how joypad lovers take to them. It took me a while. But once you get the hang of it, Revolution 60 will make you feel like you've channeled your inner Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Alias, and Black Widow and gone on one hell of a futuristic joy ride.

At key points you get to choose between being polite and being a sarcastic. Each choice steers you towards the path of professionalism or sends you further on your way to going rogue. The choice is up to you.

I've been playing Revolution 60 since it went into beta, and had a blast making all the wrong choices, blaming the world around me, and then using that as an excuse to kick even more ass. (We'll see how that works out for me.)

Revolution 60 is free to try and if you like it, $5.99 to unlock the full game. No casino schemes, just half the price of a movie for hours and hours more fun. It's indie, it's different, it's ambitious, and we very much need more like it.

Give it a try and let me know how you like it.
