After being featured on the cover of the Chinese edition of Vogue back in October, the Apple Watch is set to grace a magazine cover yet again. Self Magazine announced today that its March cover will feature Victoria's Secret model Candice Swanepoel sporting Apple's upcoming wearable.
On the cover, Swanepoel is seen wearing the white-strapped sport edition of the Apple watch. Given the fact that Self is a magazine concerned with health, fitness, and well-being, the publication focuses on the health aspects of the watch in its announcement:
Using an accelerometer, a built-in heart rate sensor, GPS and WiFi from your iPhone to provide a comprehensive picture of your daily activity; consequently, measures three separate aspects of movement: calories burned, brisk activity and how often you stand up during the day.
Apple has thus far been busy promoting the Apple watch's fashion prowess with the previously mentioned appearance on the cover of Vogue and a display during Paris Fashion Week. However, this latest appearance reinforces that the wearable is a whole lot more than a fashion accessory.
