Marked 2 now available on the Mac App Store

Marked 2, a preview app for Markdown and other markup languages, is now available on the Mac App Store. While Marked 2 has been available from developer Brett Terpstra's site for a while now. Starting with Marked 2.3, the app will replace the original Marked app on the Store.

Marked 2.3 adds a number of new features and improvments. First, Marked now supports GitHub Flavored Markdown completely. Also included is the ability to count sentences in a selection of text. Other features include a new URL handler, keyword highlighting navigation highlight counts, and improved PDF export.

Note that Marked 2.3 adds sandboxing, not only to the Mac App Store version, but also to the directly downloadable version as well. This could cause some documents that have been previously opened to require new permissions.

You can download Marked 2 from the Mac App Store and Brett Terpstra's website right now. It is available at the discounted price of $9.99 for a limited time.
