Shaken up by a recent downturn in phone sales and profitability, Samsung is now reassessing all aspects of its operations and "streamlining its business units." That's turning out to be bad news for the company's cross-platform messaging app ChatOn, which, it has been determined, "isn't a business that can show improvement in the future." Multiple Samsung officials are cited by The Korea Times in a report that says ChatOn will be gradually phased out on a region-by-region basis as Samsung looks to cut its losses and focus on more profitable ventures.
