A new book from ex-Wall Street Journal reporter Yukari Kane will profile Apple's enigmatic CEO Tim Cook. Haunted Empire: Apple After Steve Jobs is the result of an exhaustive investigation, and will look beyond Cook's well-publicized Mountain Dew habit and fitness regime to shed light on how the "intensely private" man does business. While the book won't be available until March 18th, The Wall Street Journal has published an adapted excerpt. It offers a rare glimpse at the challenges Cook faced — and still faces — in steering a post-Jobs Apple in the right direction.
