Carcassonne for iPhone and iPad has gotten a little colder with its 4.0 update. The digital version of the classic board game introduces the new Winter Edition, complete with new themed tiles and the Gingerbread Man expansion. The game has also been enhanced for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
Snow and ice are everywhere in the Carcassonne Winter Edition. The Gingerbread Man expansion has the title character traveling to each city giving out special bonuses. The other expansion included in version 4.0 is the Double Base Tile Set, which would be like playing with two full Carcassonne boxes in the physical game. The Winter expansion is available for $1.99, while the Double Base Tile set is can be purchased for $0.99.
In addition to iPhone 6 and 6 Plus support, there are a number of other improvements and fixes in Carcassonne 4.0. The game now features 64-bit support, and bugs were fixed in the status bar, rule option displays, and more.
