Rare Gen 3 Pokémon are being spotted in the wild!

New second or third stage pokémon are spawning in the wild. Here's the list of the latest evolved pokémon to be spotted!

What you need to know

• New evolved forms from Gen 3 and higher have been spotted.
• These sightings are quite rare.
• Spawns last for 15 minutes only.

One of the most exciting moments while playing Pokémon Go has to be spotting a rare Pokémon in the wild. That moment is even more exciting when the Pokémon in question is already evolved and therefore useful without burning through a bunch of candy and stardust.

With limited exceptions, Gen 1 and Gen 2 already have all been spotted but with three more generations, there is still the potential for many more to show up. Thanks to some helpful players over on Reddit, we now know that another bunch of evolved Pokémon now have the potential to spawn. The latest confirmed evolved Pokémon are:

• Sceptile
• Blaziken
• Swampert
• Aggron
• Salamance
• Slaking
• Ludicolo
• Exploud

How do I find evolved Pokémon in the wild?

Unfortunately, these spawns are incrediblely rare but there are things you can do to up your chances. Play often and across many areas. Connect with local players on social media; if you can get an invite to a local Discord, many players will share rare spawns. Finally, be ready to move. Wild spawns only last for 15 minutes so if something shows up in your radar or in your local player group, move quick!

iOS 13 is already installed on more than 50% of all iPhones

Adoption rates of iOS 13 are outpacing iOS 12 in the first month of release.

Apple has released iOS 13 adoptions numbers on its developer website today. Reported by 9to5Mac, Apple says that iOS 13 is already running on more than half of all currently used iPhones. Compared to iOS 12, iOS 13 is being adopted at the same speed for all iPhones but is actually getting installed about 3% faster for iPhones introduced in the last four years.

Apple has broken down the adoption numbers into two categories: devices introduced in the last four years and all devices. As of October 15, 2019, 55% of all iPhones introduced in the last four years already use iOS 13, while 38% run iOS 12 and 7% are still running earlier operating systems.

When you branch out into all iPhones currently being used that number drops, but only by a little. Currently, 50% of all iPhones, no matter when they were released, now use iOS 13, while 41% run iOS 12 and 9% are still running an earlier OS.

Apple has also released install numbers for the newly released iPadOS, Apple's new iPad-specific operating system that was introduced this year at WWDC 2019. As of today, 41% of all iPads introduced in the last four years use iPadOS, whereas 51% still use iOS 12 and 8% still use earlier versions.

When you expand that to all iPads, regardless of release date, 33% of them are now using iPadOS. Around 51% are still using iOS 12, and 16% are still on earlier versions of the software.

These numbers were calculated by Apple through the App Store and reported on their developer website. Since iOS 13 was released about a month ago, the software has already seen four updates to fix various bugs and performance issues. iOS 13.2, which will bring more updates and new emojis, is currently in beta testing with developers and those signed up through the Apple Beta Software Program.

Rocket Lab successfully launches fifth Electron rocket this year

Rocket Lab has added another successful commercial launch to its track record: The rocket startup’s ‘As The Crow Flies’ mission took off today from its LC-1 launch site in New Zealand as planned. The rocket took off at 9:22 PM ET (6:22 PM PT), during its second launch opportunity of the day after the first window was pushed due to high altitude winds.

This is the ninth Electron launch for the company thus far, and the eighth mission for a commercial customer (the first was a test mission in 2017) since it began ferrying payloads for paying clients in 2018. Today’s launch carried a satellite called ‘Palisade’ for client Astro Digital, which is a technology demonstrator that will test the company’s next-generation geocommunications satellite design.

This mission was a late-stage substitute, swapping in for another Rocket Lab client who had to delay their own launch. Rocket Lab founder and CEO Peter Beck told TechCrunch that “Electron is a launch on demand service — we’re ready when the launch customer is,” highlighting the flexibility of the launch service they offer to adapt to the needs of their customers.

After successful launch and kick stage separation, the Astro Digital satellite now awaits its final deployment into its target orbit, which should happen in the next few hours. We’ll update with the results of that maneuver.

Apple’s iOS 13 is running on 50 percent of all iPhones after three weeks

Apple’s iOS 13 update may have been riddled with bugs over the course of its first few weeks post-release, but that hasn’t had a meaningful impact on user adoption. According to the company, more than 50 percent of all iPhones were running iOS 13 just 26 days after launch. That’s slower than iOS 12, which took just 23 days to hit 50 percent, but not by much. If you count only iPhones purchased in the last four years, the figure jumps up to 55 percent.

The numbers look even better — vis a vis Android — when you take into account that most other phones are running iOS 12. Of all iPhones currently accessing the App Store, which is how Apple checks these numbers, 41 percent are using iOS 12 and just 9 percent are using an earlier mobile OS....

Google’s Stadia wireless controller won’t be very wireless at launch

You’ll probably be plugging in Google’s wireless Stadia controller when the cloud gaming service launches on November 19th. While it’ll work wirelessly while playing Stadia on a Chromecast Ultra, you’ll have to plug in a USB-C cable to use it with computers or phones at launch, Google tells The Verge.

When Google first showed off the controller in March, the company touted how you could seamlessly switch from gaming on your TV to a laptop or phone while using the same exact controller, without having to pair it to each device — because the controller would stay directly connected to Stadia’s servers over its own Wi-Fi.
