Trump’s Twitter account has extra protections, which could be why it didn’t get hacked

In yesterday’s massive attack on Twitter, some of the highest-profile accounts on the service, including President Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Elon Musk, and Bill Gates had their accounts hijacked to peddle bitcoin scams. Notably, however, Donald Trump, perhaps the most famous Twitter user of all, was untouched by the attack, and it could be because Twitter has implemented extra protections for his account.
In a deeply-reported article on the attack, The New York Times writes that Trump’s Twitter account has extra protection after “past incidents,” citing two anonymous sources — a senior White House official and a Twitter employee. Week three of the Anniversary Challenge Event has begun!
Pokémon GO Fest 2020 is almost here. To prepare, there will be three weeks of Timed Research Challenges. Trainers will get awesome individual rewards, as well as have the chance to unlock Pokémon for Pokémon GO Fest 2020. The third week has officially begun and we have everything you need to know to complete this week's Timed Research!
What is a Timed Research Challenge?
Introduced in the Throwback Challenge Event, a Timed Research Challenge is Special Research that must be completed in a set period of time. If it isn't completed before the time expires, it will disappear forever. There are bonuses during the Timed Research which will make it easier to complete and the bonuses are pretty awesome. For this Timed Research Challenge, there are both individual rewards and group rewards in the form of Pokémon unlocked for Pokémon GO Fest 2020.
Week Three: Friendship
The third week is themed around Friendship. Research involves earning Hearts and Candies with your Buddy Pokémon and sending Gifts to your fellow Pokémon Trainer friends. It began on Friday, July 17, 2020 at 8 AM local time and will conclude on July 22, 2020 at 10 PM local time.
Step One
- Earn a Heart with your Buddy Pokémon for one Razz Berry.
- Send a Gift to a Friend for 100 Stardust.
- Play with your Buddy Pokémon for one Pinap Berry.
Completion Rewards: 100 XP, 100 Stardust, and ten PokéBalls.
Step Two
- Send five Gifts to Friends for ten Pinap Berries.
- Earn five Hearts with your Buddy Pokémon for ten Razz Berries.
- Earn a Candy walking with your Buddy Pokémon for one Rare Candy.
Completion Rewards: 300 XP, 300 Stardust, and an Alolan Raichu encounter.
Step Three
- Take a snapshot of your Buddy Pokémon for ten Pinap Berries.
- Send ten Gifts to Friends for 500 Stardust.
- Earn ten Hearts with your Buddy Pokémon for 20 Razz Berries.
Completion Rewards: one Rare Candy, one Lucky Egg, and a Petilil encounter.
Elite Challenge
In addition to the set of Timed Research, there is also an Elite Challenge.
- Use 30 Berries to help catch Pokémon for five Nanab Berries.
- Send 30 Gifts to Friends for five Razz Berries.
- Earn 30 Hearts with your Buddy Pokémon for five Pinap Berries.
Completion Rewards: 500 XP, 500 Stardust, and five Razz Berries.
Team Bonuses
In addition to the individual rewards, there are team based rewards as well.
- One million Team Instinct Trainers completing the Research will unlock Togetic.
- One million Team Mystic Trainers completing the Research will unlock Dratini.
- One million Team Valor Trainers completing the Research will unlock Litwick.
Bonuses
On top of the Timed Research, Team Challenges, and Elite Challenge, there will be plenty of bonuses during the week:
- Summer themed Pokémon will spawn in the wild, hatch from Eggs, and appear in raids.
- Shiny Bellsprout will be appearing.
- Petilil will be introduced, spawning in the wild when the weather is sunny and hatching from 5 KM Eggs.
- Summer Style Pikachu will also be spawning in the wild.

- Announced on June 17, 2020, New Pokémon Snap is an all new game inspired by the classic N64 game.
- New Pokémon Snap can now be pre-ordered on Amazon for $60.
- An official release date has not been announced.
When Nintendo announced New Pokémon Snap on June 17, 2020, fans were teased with some gorgeous images, but not much else. Nintendo has yet to give an official release date, and the official website only offers the trailer. But now, Pokémon photographers are one step closer to being able to dive back into this world. New Pokémon Snap is now officially available for preorder from Amazon.
For those who are unfamiliar with Pokémon Snap, the classic Nintendo 64 game tasked players with not catching all the different species of Pokémon, but rather taking the best possible pictures of every Pokémon species. It featured 63 different Pokémon species from the first gen Kanto region. Although we don't know just how many Pokémon will be featured in New Pokémon Snap, the trailer and images released so far show Pokémon from Kanto, Galar, and plenty of regions in between.

The second week is themed around Battle with a focus on the new Team GO Rocket aerial attacks. It began on Friday, July 10, 2020 at 8 AM local time and featured three sets of Timed Research. Rewards included:
- Individuals completing the Research earned an encounter with Hitmonlee, an encounter with Absol, a Super Rocket Radar, and more!
- One million Team Instinct Trainers completed the Research to unlock Ferroseed.
- One million Team Mystic Trainers completed the Research to unlock Alolan Grimer.
- One million Team Valor Trainers completed the Research to unlock Alolan Marowak.
- Individuals also unlocked GO Fest Elite Battle Challenge, a set of difficult tasks featured in GO Fest 2020 separate from the Timed Research.
In addition to the Timed Research, there was also a Team GO Rocket Take-Over Battle Event on Sunday, July 12, 2020, from 11 AM to 2 PM local time. Week two wrapped up on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at 10 PM local time.
The bonuses for the week included:
- Poison and Dark type Pokémon appeared more in the wild, Eggs, and Raids.
- Team GO Rocket balloons appeared more often.
- The Meowth balloon appeared more often.
- Several new Shadow Pokémon were added, including the new Legendary Shadow Suicune.

Pokémon Snap is making a return, and we can't wait to snap some photos! Here's what we know.
Twenty years is a long time to wait, but for those die-hard fans of Pokémon Snap, our patience has paid off. That's right, during June 17's Pokémon Presents, the New Pokémon Snap was announced. While we didn't get to see much aside from some beautiful screenshots, we are very excited to see what this new game has in store.

What is Pokémon Snap?
Pokémon Snap released on March 21, 1999 for the Nintendo 64. It's a single-player photography simulation game where players are sent to different areas like jungles, beaches, and caves to explore and take pictures of Pokémon for Professor Oak. He longs to study Pokémon in their natural environment, and what better way than to send someone out in the field in his Zero-One buggy to catch them in action rather than in a Poké Ball?
The concept of Pokémon Snap is very simple; snap pictures of Pokémon and fill the Photo Dex for Professor Oak. Of course, there's more to the game than that. You can't just take a picture and hand it off. It's an art form. You are a photographer after all, and the professor wants you to meet certain standards.
Photos need to be centered, framed correctly, and they need to have enough of the Pokémon to get into the album. Each photo receives a grade and gets points based on size, the Pokémon's pose, and staying in frame. Players can earn more points for a little stylistic flair, such as catching more than one of the same Pokémon in the photo or capturing a unique pose.
After you explore each area and earn enough points, Professor Oak will introduce new areas on the map so you can take more pictures. Plus, he'll give you new equipment that can help you uncover secret paths, draw out hidden Pokémon, or discover new poses and picture-perfect scenes. Of the original 151 Pokémon, 63 were available in the game.
With so many new and different Pokémon in the last 20 years, who knows how many this new game will include!
What we know about New Pokémon Snap so far
According to Nintendo, the New Pokémon Snap will have players exploring unknown islands and snapping photos of the Pokémon living there. While the game is new, the concept will remain the same with, maybe, a few updates. With the same goal of snapping the perfect photos of Pokémon in the wild, this new game promises a variety of environments where players can frame up some fantastic shots of Pokémon living their best wild-life.
Some additional goals include discovering new, natural Pokémon behaviors and checking out areas we've never seen up close and personal. Another interesting detail is the number of players is to be determined. So, while the original was a single-player experience, this new game may feature multiplayer or even online multiplayer.
What we hope for in the New Pokémon Snap
More info would be great, but barring the obvious, there are some things we hope will make it into the new game. The original concept was incredible. It was simple, straightforward, and easy to pick up and play. The only additions I'd like to see are some ways to take Pokémon photography to the next level.
For instance, even though this was part of what made snapping a shot so rewarding, it might be nice to eventually earn a "stop" or "pause" mechanic to grab a great shot, perhaps after players reach the end. Also, any photo enhancements, like zoom, filters, or other details, might be a welcome change.
As far as online multiplayer, a photo leaderboard might be a fun way wrangle up some friendly competition. Additionally, it could be exciting to have tournaments and challenges to get the perfect shot. In fact, it might be interesting how the New Pokémon Snap might integrate with Pokémon Go.
Above all else, more Pokémon to snap and new places to explore might be just what this game needs.
Is there a release date?
Currently, there is no release date for New Pokémon Snap and the official website only includes the trailer and a few images. Amazon currently has the game available for pre-order.

DoorDash inks deal with Walgreens to provide over-the-counter medicine and snack deliveries

On Thursday, DoorDash announced that it’s introducing on-demand delivery services from Walgreens to provide “everyday essentials” to your doorstep. Customers in Atlanta, Chicago, and Denver can now order over 2,300 items from the pharmacy chain, including over-the-counter medication, groceries, snacks, and beauty products. DoorDash and Walgreens did not mention whether users can also have their prescription medication delivered, so you’ll probably still need to go to the store for that.
DoorDash says it plans to expand to other cities with “major markets” this summer, including Cincinnati, Cleveland, Minneapolis, Oklahoma City, Phoenix, Sacramento, and Seattle.

Apple deploys in Finland, Norway, and Sweden to collect Apple Maps data

Apple has been working on rolling out a new map for a while now, and it looks like that effort is making its way to a few more countries.
Reported by AppleInsider, Apple is deploying vehicles to map out new areas in Finland, Norway, and Sweden between July and August. The announcement came through the Apple Maps Image Collection website.
The areas to be canvased are Finland's Uusimaa region near Helsinki, Norway's capital city Oslo, and Sweden's Malmo. The data collected by the Apple Maps cars will be used for Apple's Look Around feature, a competitor to Google's Street View.
Apple had finished rolling out its new map in the United States earlier this year and continues to fine-tune the data to ensure it is up to date. It is also currently deploying vehicles in Europe, Japan, and Ireland. The company uses a number of tactics to gather data, including cars, planes, and people with backpacks in areas that are inaccessible by vehicles.
Apple says that its mapping service, like its other services, is committed to user privacy and that anyone can contact the company to censor part of the map.

In a news release on the Apple Developer website tonight, Apple has announced that it is updating its coding terminology. The company says that the updates are part of an effort to "remove and replace non-inclusive language across our developer ecosystem, including within Xcode, platform APIs, documentation, and open source projects."
At Apple, we're working to remove and replace non-inclusive language across our developer ecosystem, including within Xcode, platform APIs, documentation, and open source projects. These changes began on June 22 with the beta software and developer documentation released at WWDC20 moving to terms such as allow list and deny list, and main as the default SCM branch in Xcode 12. An updated Apple Style Guide reflects these and other changes.
Apple also warns that developer APIs that still include exclusionary terms will be deprecated as the company releases replacements. The company says that it will provide warnings to developers so that they can update to the new APIs.
