Disney+ Reveals First Trailer for ‘The Mandalorian’ Live-Action ‘Star Wars’ Series

Disney+ is just a few days away, and with it the premiere episode for The Mandalorian.

The wait is almost over. Celebrate with this new trailer for the first live-action Star Wars show streaming soon near you.

Disney+ revealed the first trailer and poster for The Mandalorian, a new live-action Star Wars series launching on the streaming service this fall, and it teases a galactic adventure.

The Mandalorian, which is executive produced by Jon Favreau and stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, and Carl Weathers, will be available to stream on Disney+ starting Nov. 12.

Disney+ uploaded also The Mandalorian poster on Instagram, which shows the Mandalorian walking in a dry terrain and his ship, the Razor Crest, behind him, said a Star Wars press release.

In May, filmmaker Werner Herzog said The Mandalorian was a “phenomenal achievement.” The director, who previously worked on Aguirre, the Wrath of God, told The Associated Press that he will most likely appear in two or three episodes of the show as “a character in whom you cannot trust.”

It’s unclear what type of villain Herzog will play in the live-action Star Wars series, however, the actor is very happy to be part of The Mandalorian’s cast.

“[The] Mandalorian was filmed not like all the other Star Wars or other big event films — green screen, green screen everywhere — and the camera motion-control moving there. The camera, that could even be hand-held and move in between us, sees the same landscape,” Herzog explained. “It’s not green-screen and artificiality. It brings movie-making back where it should be.”

Disney+ is launching on Nov. 12 and it will be available for $6.99 a month or as part of a $12.99 bundle with ESPN+ and Hulu. For more information on subscriptions, visit Disney+’s website here.

New Mandalorian trailer promises Star Wars beasts, fighting spaceships, and bounty hunters

A new trailer for Disney’s first ever live-action Star Wars show, The Mandalorian, has arrived, just a couple of weeks ahead of Disney+’s highly anticipated launch.

The new trailer includes a few interesting shots, including putting a spotlight on some of the space beasts that will come across the Mandalorian’s path. There are also new spaceship fights, and a promise that fans will get a deeper look at bounty hunting — a “difficult profession.” The time for peace has come to an end.

Today, Apple released iOS 13.2, iPadOS 13.2, and tvOS 13.2 for supported iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, and Apple TV devices. The company also released a minor update labeled iOS 12.4.3 for iPhones and iPads that saw end-of-support with last month's iOS 13 release.

iOS and iPadOS 13.2 represents the first major new feature release since iOS 13 came out several weeks ago. Up to this point, Apple's unusually frequent updates have been focused on either bug fixes or on introducing features that were originally planned for the first version of iOS 13.

There's a mixture of new and previously planned here, but it marks the biggest update yet for iOS 13 users. Additions include Deep Fusion computational photography for better low- and mid-light photos on the latest iPhones, the ability to opt-out or opt-in to sharing Siri voice recordings with Apple, support for AirPods Pro and the Announce Messages with Siri feature, a bunch of new emoji, new smart home features, and a number of bug fixes.

‘Watchmen’ Director Explains Show’s Chilling Alternate Universe

Watchmen, HBO’s new series based on the graphic novel co-created by Dave Gibbons, takes place in an alternate history and involves masked individuals. However, the show highlights prominent political and social issues that take place in our world today.

Executive producer Nicole Kassell recently spoke with Collider about why Watchmen is so relatable to modern times and what it was like to direct Episodes 1, 2, and 8 of the series.

“Like a lot of us, I was left reeling from [the] election of 2016. So, wrestling, personally, with what’s happening in this country, when I read the pilot, honestly, I was shaking,” Kassell explained. “It felt like this is the answer, to me, for what I can do now to respond to this political time. As hard and scary as it is to take on, I’m so grateful to have been a part of it.”

Kassell worked with Damon Lindelof, the show’s creator, to establish the series’ alternate universe setting. From unique sets to continuous rules, the pair and crew developed a foundation for Watchmen, so viewers could understand the bigger picture with each episode.

“Once you land in 2019, we created a bible of what the world rules would be and what defines this place because it’s an alternate universe,” Kassell added. “So, for every episode and for every department to have things in place, there was a continuity to the rules of this place.”

Watchmen’s pilot was a tough one to watch: It opened with the Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921, a real event that took place in American history. Following this tragic event, viewers are forwarded somewhere in the future, where a white supremacist organization dubbed the Seventh Kavalry is causing major problems in Oklahoma.

The series’ plot is full of twists, but Kassell urges viewers to watch the entire show first before sounding off on characters’ choices.

“I really believe, if you’ve got an avenue to talk about important issues, it’s your responsibility to do so, and Damon is an artist with a very big platform and a big megaphone, so whether or not he wants to, it’s his responsibility to,” Kassell explained. “He may be hated for it or loved, but my greatest wish, and this is where I’m very naive, is that people would hold off judging until they’ve seen the series, as a whole.”

Watchmen, which stars Regina King, Tim Blake Nelson, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, is now available to stream on HBO.

Niantic resolves widespread Pokémon GO Plus issues

Niantic has resolved the widespread issues with the Pokémon GO Plus.

The Pokémon GO Plus experienced issues both connecting and staying connected on many devices.
These issues were one of the number one complaints on the Pokémon GO Twitter.
While the issues have been resolved with the latest update, players still experiencing issues are being handled individually.

Ninatic announced on October 28 that the widespread issues with the Pokémon GO Plus accessory have been resolved. One of the chief complaints seen on the Pokémon GO Twitter and the source of many a Reddit post, players have often found their Pokémon GO Plus accessories are no longer able to connect to or stay connected to their phones. It would seem that the connection issues often follow major updates but this latest incident seems to be one of the widest spread and longest lasting yet, forcing Niantic to release an update which it promises has addressed the majority of known issues.

Some players have already responded publicly stating their Pokémon GO Plus accesssories are still unable to connect or stay connected. These connection issues seem to be made worse by using certain apps, such as Discord or YouTube. Whether these reports are, in fact, just individual outliers or evidence that not nearly as many of the issues have been resolved as Niantic reports remains to be seen. However, players who are still experiencing issues with their Pokémon GO Plus accessories are being asked to report the issues via the in app support tool. Players can also check the Niantic known issues page for Pokémon GO to keep up to date on all currently known issues. Niantic has also provided instructions here for how to contact support, both in app and out.

Elon Musk will go to trial over “pedo guy” tweets, judge rules

Elon Musk’s request to dismiss a defamation lawsuit filed by a caver was denied by a Los Angeles judge today, Bloomberg reported. The defamation suit centers on tweets where Musk called the caver, Vernon Unsworth, a “pedo guy.” Musk also sent emails to BuzzFeed journalist Ryan Mac, which are now part of the case.

A jury will decide whether those tweets and emails count as recklessly negligent, US District Judge Stephen Wilson ruled.

The debacle began during a Thai rescue operation, when a group of boys were trapped in a cave. Musk, along with some of his engineers, built a mini submarine that they sent to Thailand.
