Democratic Senator Cory Booker of New Jersey and Republican Marco Rubio of Florida introduced a bill that would call on the FCC to free up additional wireless spectrum in the 5 GHz band for Wi-Fi use, in a move that could greatly increase Wi-Fi speeds and ease network congestion.
